Tree Songs 3 is a free national event that will take place on Saturday and Sunday, January 22 and 23 starting at 2:00 pm Eastern.  On those dates, people across the country will express their feelings about *trees* through music, poetry, visual art, sculpture, dance, theatre, storytelling, culinary arts, healing arts, fashion design, quilting, tree talks, tree walks and more.

A Warm-Up Concert at 2:00 pm Eastern on Saturday, January 22 will feature performances from tree enthusiasts across Canada.

Regional Concerts organized by people across the country will take place on Sunday, January 23 starting at 2:00 pm.

A National Wrap-Up Concert starting at 4:00 pm Eastern will feature performances and reports from all of the regional concerts, along with some special surprise guests!

“These events are fuelled by people’s enormous love and respect for trees, and by a growing awareness that literally all life on the planet depends on them,” says Christophe Elie, one of the project’s organizers.  “Get ready for some beautiful and moving experiences at Tree Songs 3!”

In addition to links to all of the concerts, the Tree Songs website at www.treesongs.ca contains links to a number of tree protection campaigns across the country.  For example, Reimagine Ottawa at www.reimagineottawa.ca is challenging the arbitrary and disastrous plan to destroy 750 canopy trees, 53 acres of national park land, and countless wildlife creatures and habitats in the heart of Ottawa at Queen Juliana Park and the Central Experimental Farm, a national historic site.
